Media: China intends in 2016 to launch a manned spacecraft into space – RIA Novosti

BEIJING, Jan. 8 – RIA Novosti, Zhanna Manukyan. China in 2016 plans to record in one year the number of launches into space, including the launch of manned spacecraft, wrote in a Friday newspaper China Daily, referring to the state corporation China Aerospace Science and Technology Corp.

“This year will be carried out more than 20 launches into space, the greatest number of missions per year”, – quotes the edition of the company’s statement.

It is reported that the first half of this year’s planned launch of the space lab Tiangong 2, to test the technology sustain life for future space station.

Then, using the carrier rocket Long March 2F will be launched manned spacecraft Shenzhou XI, who will take astronauts to the space lab. According to the newspaper citing government sources, China plans to launch the main module of its space station in 2018 for testing of appropriate technologies. It is expected that the full functioning of the station will begin in 2022.

The “space” of Beijing’s plans for the current year and test flights being developed in China boosters Long March – 5 (Chin. Changzhen “Long March”) and Long March -7, the launch of two satellites for navigation system Beidou. It is reported that the company will also launch a navigation satellite for Belarus, which will be the start of export of Chinese navigation satellites in Europe.
