In the US, the government and representatives of the largest social networks to discuss the fight against extremism – Kommersant

Senior White House officials, intelligence and law enforcement agencies on Friday to meet with the heads of IT-companies in Silicon Valley to discuss the use of social networks by extremists, reports Reuters. The agency, citing sources familiar with the situation, reported that the US government will be represented by presidential adviser on counter-terrorism issues, Lisa Monaco, the Attorney General Loretta Lynch, head of the FBI’s James Comey and the Director of National Intelligence James Clapper. The meeting will discuss how to create obstacles to the representatives of terrorist organizations to recruit and mobilize supporters on the Internet, as well as how to help ordinary users to create, publish and disseminate as widely as materials which may weaken the extremist groups.

Recall that in late 2015, US President Barack Obama addressed the nation with anti-terrorism program.
