113th, 115th, 117th and 118th elements of the table are code names: ununtrity , Ununpentium, Ununseptium and ununoctium. Constant names will be adopted in the near future.

By the way, the right to name the elements with atomic numbers 115, 117 and 118 belong to the Russian-American team of scientists from the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research in Dubna, the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory in California and Oak Ridge National Laboratory in Tennessee. Earlier, the media reported about the struggle for the authorship of the creation of the 113th element.

It was between Japanese scientists institute RIKEN and the Russian-American researchers. However, the primacy of the creation of the 113th element of the periodic table has been given to scientists from RIKEN. They plan to call it “Japan».

Note that the new elements it was difficult to obtain, as they fell into the previously unknown isotopes of lighter elements. All four new elements were synthesized artificially.
