Henry Kissinger was elected a foreign member of the Russian Academy of Sciences – RBC

Former U.S. Secretary of state Henry Kissinger was elected foreign member of the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS), this was during a General meeting of the organization announced academician Boris Chetverushkin, writes TASS.

According to Chetverushkin on Friday, October 28 at the Academy were elected new members. Part wounds former Secretary of state has included for the study of global issues. Henry Kissinger served as Secretary of state from 1973 to 1977. Earlier, from 1969 to 1975, he worked as adviser to the President of the United States national security. In 1973, Kissinger was awarded the Nobel peace prize. The award was presented to the policy for his role in the achievement of the Paris peace agreement, which temporarily halted the war in Vietnam.
