Landing “Soyuz TMA-14M” delivered by helicopter in Russia – RIA Novosti

Ekaterinburg, March 12 – RIA Novosti. The lander “Soyuz TMA-14M”, which landed on Thursday with two astronauts Roscosmos and NASA astronaut in the steppes of Kazakhstan, delivered by helicopter in Russia, told RIA Novosti official representative of the Central Military District Jaroslav Roschupkin.

The astronauts Roscosmos Elena Serov, Alexander Samokutyaev and NASA astronaut Barry Wilmore back on Thursday morning at the Earth from the orbital semi-trips, they were evacuated from the lander.

“The capsule is first to be delivered in the Chelyabinsk region by helicopter, where, in fact, based space rescue, and then the airplane military transport aircraft will be moved to Moscow”, – said the source.

He added that the landing was made at the estimated time in a predetermined area. The decision on the landing was made, despite the deteriorating weather conditions, the formation of the snow front.

“The weather has not prevented us to promptly detect and evacuate the crew of astronauts,” – said Roschupkin. According to him, the crew had already left for Moscow.
