First, after the April crash launch of “Progress M28-M.” Frames start – RIA Novosti

Carrier rocket “Soyuz-U” with a space truck “Progress M28-M” was launched to the ISS from Baikonur. See pictures of the first successful launch after the April accident with the same vehicle.

The space truck “Progress M-28M” launched from Baikonur to the International Space Station (ISS), separated from the rocket booster “Soyuz-U”, told RIA news from the Mission Control Center (MCC) in the city of Korolyov.

The rocket “Soyuz-U” with “Progress M28M” launched from Baikonur at 7:55 MSK on Friday.

The flight program “Progress-M28M” provides the “old” two-night scheme closer to the ISS with a connection to the coil 34 of the flight. Mooring and docking with the ISS is scheduled for 10.13 MSK in the Sunday, July 5. “Progress” will join the docking compartment “Pirs”, which is used as an additional docking port for manned and cargo ships.

The Russian astronauts on the station, crew of the 44th ISS expedition, a new space champion Gennady Padalka and Flight Engineer Mikhail Kornienko, which will orbit for a year, will supervise the process of docking of “Progress M-28M” to the space station.
