Space module Philae made contact with Earth – RBC

The probe Philae – the lander station Rosetta – made contact with Earth after nearly seven months of “silence.” It is reported by BBC BBC with reference to the European Space Agency.

In November last year, the unit landed on the comet Churyumov – Gerasimenko. During that time, the comet approached the Sun, so Philae could send a signal.

Rosetta – a spacecraft designed to study the comet. It consists of two parts: the Rosetta probe and lander Philae. The device was launched on March 2, 2004. Rosetta – the first spacecraft which entered orbit around the comet.
