In Novosibirsk, the first in the Russian operation using domestic hip prosthesis of nanoceramics. The prosthesis is made Novosibirsk plant, it took more than four years.

The first case is a 53-year-old resident of the city of Birobidzhan Jewish Autonomous Region. For the patient the operation was free, nanoceramic endoprosthesis, of Russian origin, was implanted within the system of state guarantees.

According to experts, the lifespan of the prosthesis – over 20 years. From foreign counterparts Novosibirsk production is distinguished only price: 60 thousand rubles against 2-2.5 million euros from the German manufacturer. The low cost of the implant for the first time allowed to apply modern technology in prosthetics health services provided by the budget. The volume of such transactions in Russia – about 35 thousand a year.

Novosibirsk the company plans to release in the first months of the order of 500 units per month, and by 2016 reach 20,000 implants a year, will close about half of the needs of the Russian market.
