The American biologist and Nobel laureate James Watson in 1962, discovered the DNA double helix, June 17 will hold a public lecture in the Great Hall of the Russian Academy of Sciences. In December 2014 the medal was sold at Christie’s auction for 4.8 million dollars. The award was bought by Russian businessman Alisher Usmanov, announced his intention to return to reward the owner.
