James Watson once again be awarded the Nobel medal – BBC News

The American biologist and Nobel laureate James Watson in 1962, discovered the DNA double helix, June 17 will hold a public lecture in the Great Hall of the Russian Academy of Sciences. In 2014, Watson decided to sell his Nobel medal to use part of the money himself, and the other part to give various universities and scientific institutions for research funding. In December 2014 the medal was sold at Christie’s auction for 4.8 million dollars. The award was bought by Russian businessman Alisher Usmanov, announced his intention to return to reward the owner.
