Every fourth Russian Internet called harmful – Lenta.ru

All-Russian Public Opinion Research Center (VTsIOM) has summed up the survey on the role of the Internet in the lives of Russians. This was reported at the center.

25 per cent of the respondents saw a worldwide network of more disadvantages than advantages. Internet, according to them, can harm health and the psyche of people, particularly young users.

I disagree with this point of view every tenth respondent. According to respondents, the network does not have any influence had on people’s lives.

60 per cent believe that the Internet contains a lot of useful information that helps to solve various problems and blurs the boundaries when dealing with people. And 44 percent of respondents see the Internet only mode of communication.

The most popular social networks among Russians were “VKontakte”, “Classmates” and “My World”. In the first two turned out to be registered 55 and 54 percent of respondents, respectively. In 2012, “Classmates” was registered by 61 percent of Russians, and in “VKontakte” – 51 percent. Users of “My World” is much smaller – 19 percent. Do not use social networks 15 percent of respondents.

opinion polls were conducted on 21 and 22 March and 6 and 7 June. Each involved 1,600 residents of 130 settlements in 46 regions of Russia.
