Scientists: woman with a transplanted uterus for the first time carried and gave birth to a baby – EvroSMI

Physicians, carers special woman in labor, said that
 patient 31 weeks of gestation was a cesarean section. Baby was
 born with a weight of 1.8 kilograms, which is normal for this period of formation
 fetus. Doctors added that the woman and newborn baby feel
 well, any deviations have been recorded.

 
 

The journalists were not able to find out the names of the parents as
 this information is classified. What is known is that the child’s mother was the
 one in five women involved in the project for transplanting reproductive
 authority. Volunteers who agreed to transplant the uterus, had an innate
 pathology – this is an important organ in them missing. Transplant surgery
 were successful and here is the result – one of them had the opportunity to become
 mother.

 
 

British surgeons involved in this project, note
 that are ready to continue such operations with adequate funding. If
 scientific experiment and observation of women after the transplant will be able to
 continue, then, according to experts, many women can feel
 the joy of motherhood, take-out and giving birth to a child on their own.
