Smart glasses, augmented reality ODG R-8 and R-9 is equipped with a Snapdragon SoC 835 – iXBT.com

At CES 2017, the company showed two pairs of new glasses, which are called R-8 and R-9. Both models are equipped with the latest single-chip system Qualcomm Snapdragon 835, they can be used as a device augmented and virtual realities. The manufacturer claims that the new Snapdragon SoC allows to reduce the delay between head movement and the reaction of the image on the screen, and this increases the comfort of use.

the ODG Model R-9 offers a viewing angle of 50°, and the ODG R-8 — 10° less. In addition, the older model has a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, while the owners of R-8 will have to be content with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. In addition, the ODG R-9 is the platform that allows you to use it to develop applications for AR and VR.

the ODG R-9 will go on sale in the second quarter of 2017 at a price of $ 1800, the ODG R-8 will follow in the second half at a price not more than $ 1,000.
