Archaeologists surveyed in China the remains of the ancient city of age 2 thousand years – TASS

BEIJING, January 8. /Offset. TASS Nikolai Selishchev/. Chinese archaeologists have completed excavations on the site of ancient settlement in the area of Shenyang (the administrative center of northeastern province of Liaoning). According to experts, which refers to the Agency Xinhua, the settlement has existed for over 2 thousand years ago.

As the researchers note, the settlement occupied an area of 500 square meters. The settlement was discovered in 2014, from July of last year with the support of the authorities in the area began large-scale research.

Archaeologists stumbled upon the ruins of many houses, was discovered cellars, ancient graves. Some graves have two tiers, some of them belongs to the era of the three kingdoms period Southern and Northern dynasties (220-589).. Experts have found more ancient, three – and four-tombs roughly Dating back to the era of the Qin and Han (221 BC – 220 ad).

Among the discovered artifacts – pottery, copper coins, instruments of bronze and iron. According to scientists, the findings are extremely important for science and will clarify much of the history of Ancient China.
