The inhabitants of the northern hemisphere have the opportunity to see the Shooting Stars – RBC

The annual Geminid meteor shower on the night of December 14 reached its peak in the northern hemisphere, reports BBC BBC. It can be seen with the naked eye in the southern sky until dawn. Then the number of burning debris in the atmosphere will be gradually reduced. Less intense Shooting Stars will be noticeable until December 17.

Geminids – one of the most powerful meteor shower, which is observed annually when the Earth crosses the path of the asteroid 3200 Phaethon. During the peak if the weather can be seen each hour to 100 meteors burning. In 2011, their number reached a record number – 200 meteors per hour.
