Putin joked the reaction of the British media on the Russian project of teleportation – Lenta.ru

Russian President Vladimir Putin at the meeting of the Supervisory Board “Agency for strategic initiatives to promote new projects” joked the reaction of the British newspaper the Telegraph on information about work in Russia on the project of quantum teleportation. On Thursday, December 8, RIA Novosti reported.

“let’s Not disappoint them. Need this version to support”, — said the head of state in response to the words of the Director of the direction “Young professionals” Dmitry Peskov reminded that in June, the media got one of the “intermediate version of road maps”, which refers to quantum teleportation.

Peskov complained that the publication, journalists have omitted the definition of “quantum”, thus the meaning of innovation was distorted. “The British Telegraph wrote that Putin’s team will do for two trillion dollars of teleport by 2035, and it is a threat to the national security of all countries of the West,” — said Peskov, adding that while this news created a world sensation.

on 22 June the British newspaper the Telegraph released an article about the Russian program “national technology initiative”, under which it is planned to develop the technology of quantum teleportation. In this edition greatly overstated its cost, saying that spending will amount to 2.1 trillion dollars (about 150 billion rubles), whereas in fact the entire programme is planned to spend about 10 billion rubles (about $ 160 million).

in addition, the publication sounded the irony about the idea of teleportation. Later, Dmitry Peskov, explained that the project in question is not about the physical movement and the development of technology quantum information transfer, or teleportation.

Quantum teleportation is the transmission of quantum States of a particle at a distance. To do this, use spaced pair of linked (entangled) particles according to quantum mechanics, even when removing such particles from each other they retain information about the status of your partner.
