The world’s largest radio telescope would help the Chinese people in the search for UFOs – TVNZ

The China in the province of Guizhou completed construction of the world’s largest radio telescope FAST. Astronomers hope that the new instrument will expand the boundaries of research and help find signs of extraterrestrial life, and not open space objects previously.

The construction of the radio telescope took five years and about one hundred and eighty million dollars. The design of structures includes 4,450 reflectors, installing the last of which is equated to the completion of construction works.

Because of the scale of the project by the Chinese authorities had to resettle more than nine thousand people who lived within a radius of five thousand kilometers from the site, reports Xinhua news agency.

The radio telescope is recognized as the largest in the world due to its diameter reflector, which was 500 meters.
