The astronomers in observing the Mauna Kea Observatory in Hawaii (USA) have discovered a new and most distant from the sun of the famous scientist dwarf planet. These celestial body observation leads the International Astronomical Union (IAU), a brief about it informs edition The Guardian.
2015 RR245 heavenly body moves around the sun in an elongated path at a distance of 34-120 AU with a period of 730 years. The radius of the dwarf planet is estimated to be 350 kilometers. Mauna Kea Observatories first discovered it in 2015.
Most likely, the surface of a celestial body is made up of frozen nitrogen, water, carbon monoxide and small amounts of more complex compounds of this chemical element. The temperature of its outer layers, according to scientists, up to minus 220 degrees Celsius, which allows you to keep the matter of the dwarf planet since its formation nearly unchanged.

The closest to the Sun in 2015 RR245 will be in 2096. By this time, the researchers plan to further explore the parameters of a celestial body’s orbit and to understand its physical and chemical properties.

Total in the solar system, according to MAC, there are eight planets. The biggest and most massive of them – Jupiter. Pluto in 2006 ceased to be considered a planet because it does not satisfy one of the criteria for determining it – dominance in the space of its orbit
There are currently found around 50 candidates dwarf planets.. In January 2016, US scientists announced the discovery of a candidate for the ninth planet of the solar system. In June of the same year, astronomers reported the discovery of several large celestial bodies located beyond Neptune’s orbit.
