“Rosetta”: a place to land on a comet found – BBC Russian

The space probe “Rosetta”, nearer to the ice comet Churyumov-Gerasimenko, chose the site for the landing apparatus “Philae”.

Scientists of the European Space Agency are planning to make the first ever landing managed robot on the outer body diameter of just over 4 km, remote 400 million kilometers from Earth.

However, given the rocky surface of the comet and a very low gravitational force, landing can be a very difficult task.
