American scientists are trying to prevent the end of the world in 2880 – Murmansk bulletin

 
 

March 16, 2880 may come true end of the world. On this day the Earth will encounter the asteroid 1950 DA, which is considered the most dangerous for humanity of those who are open. American scientists from the University of Tennessee are now looking for a way to prevent this and similar potential disaster, according to the publication Daily Mail.

 
 

«We found that 1950 DA is flying at a speed greater than that at which the asteroid with a density must fall to pieces. Thus, the asteroid is not only thanks to the whole gravity, as previously thought, but also by other forces, “- said the scientist.

« If we can find that it does not allow asteroids collapse apart, we can develop a strategy to deal with them, “- they added.

The fact that even a large asteroid can destroy very small pulse, scientists do not doubt. As an example, they cite the asteroid P / 2013 R3, fixed telescope “Hubble” in 2013 and 2014, which broke apart, presumably, when faced with a meteor.

However, the chances that 1950 DA even collide with the Earth are about 0.025%, which is 1: 4000. More dangerous are those asteroids, of which nothing is known.
