Tens of thousands of fragments of ancient pottery vessels discovered by archaeologists in the Kerch Bay in preparation for the construction of a bridge to the Crimea. Age amphorae and pitchers is dated V century BC – VI century BC, according to TASS .

According to the historian, the existence of the bottom of the Kerch Bay “cemetery” of ceramics, scientists have known for a long time. Forces enthusiastic scuba divers in this spot were made individual findings. “In the 1960s, in the Kerch Bay were carried out extensive dredging to a modern port berths able to handle ships with a large draft.
