Vice-Premier of the Russian Federation Dmitry Rogozin confirmed sending the carrier rocket “Soyuz-2″ at the cosmodrome “East” in the Amur region for a first start with this new launch pad. This Rogozin wrote in his Twitter on Saturday, September 5.

On the eve of the source of RIA Novosti in the Russian government said that the sixth of September the rocket will be sent from Samara to the cosmodrome East.

The first launch from the spaceport under construction “East” in the Amur region is planned for the end of 2015. The construction of the spaceport is behind schedule because of unscrupulous contractors who were not given time to pay the workers and squandered the money allocated for the construction. According to the schedule, “East” should be put into operation on November 30.
