A team of scientists from Exeter University conducted a study and found: weight adolescents increases sharply, when they turn 11-12 years. This reports edition of The International Journal of Obesity.

For 12 years, scientists have analyzed the health and weight of 350 boys and girls. By the end of the study volunteers was 16 years old. Every six months, participants were required to report their level of physical activity, they measured the metabolic rate and blood was collected for analysis.
