Juno probe photographed the aurora on Jupiter – Rosbalt.RU

US space agency NASA has published unique photos taken during the first flyby of Jupiter spacecraft Juno.

The probe flew 36 times around the largest planet of the solar system.

The mission has provided the researchers a lot of images of the gas giant in the infrared range. “Of course, we know that the world’s first infrared views of the south pole of Jupiter could detect the aurora, but we were amazed to see him for the first time”, – he told AFP one of the developers of the infrared camera Juno Alberto Adriani
