The American private company, based in Florida, has received approval of the United States Government to send to the moon robotic lander in 2017. On it informs RIA Novosti reported with reference to the “Reuters”.

According to the founder of Moon Express Bob Richards , landing module size of a suitcase would be sent to the satellite. The mission will last for two weeks. Back module will not return. On the moon scheduled to run equipment for scientific research and to send commercial cargo, including human ashes. The module will be send to the Earth’s satellite on the Blue Planet photos and videos.

Richards said that the flight was made possible after lengthy consultations that his firm conducted with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), the State Department and other federal agencies.

Earlier spacecraft beyond the earth’s orbit could send a government organization. Under international treaty on space, which was signed in 1967, the United States is responsible for space flight, committed by US non-governmental organizations.

Earlier it was reported that the support of the authorities will set a precedent, after which a wave can start private space initiatives. In the future, they will vary from drilling asteroids to track space debris movement. Another important part of the mission of private support will be that it will be the first experience of negotiation of commercial space companies with long-term international agreements in the field of space exploration in terms of law and diplomacy.
