Mass rearing of children in a test tube will become the business 30 years later

Since 2001, scientists are developing a technology known as ektogenez – the growth of the body outside of the body, ie. e. embryo develops in an artificial womb, attached to the placental car. The technology has been tested on animals and bacteria.

Artificial womb needs artificial uterus to provide the fetus with oxygen and essential nutrients. Since all devices are connected to a computer, a child can be supervised by physicians 24 hours a day.

The technology will allow to help women who, due to certain circumstances, is unable to bear a child. In addition, it can relieve gay couples from having to look for surrogate mothers, reduce the number of stillbirths and extend women of childbearing age.

The American-Hungarian Zoltan Istvan futurist believes that within 20 years the technology will be ready for use, and in 30 years it will be widely used. Critics, in turn, convinced that technology redefines social roles and destroy the relationship of mother and child.
