Scientists are looking for magnetic anomalies at the crash site of a meteorite “Chelyabinsk” – RosRegistr

In the Chelyabinsk region in the place where three years ago fell a meteorite, scientists have recorded an anomaly. At the moment they are searching for the cosmic body fragments, which collapsed in Chebarkul Lake.

Scientists at the Ural Federal University made magnetic lake Chebarkul map by which are now trying to find the pieces of the meteorite “Chelyabinsk”. During his expedition, when the extraterrestrial was raised from the bottom, they found that in the place of his fall have abnormal changes.

In order to install and fix them, the experts used high-precision proton magnetometer, using where they filmed the area throughout the day. As told Vladimir Sapunov, who is head of the Laboratory of quantum magnetometry Ural University, they believe that these anomalies are caused by the accumulation of fragments of the meteorite. Their mass is about five hundred kilograms.

Now abnormal radiation is recorded less than three years ago, says Sapunov. Once the new card will be explored, scientists hope to get from the bottom of Chebarkul large or even a giant meteorite fragment. At a more accurate forecast, in what place it is a celestial body will leave at about one month.

We also recall that, according to NASA’s warnings, our planet is moving meteorite Chelyabinsk double.
