Twitter has allowed private messages longer than 140 characters – Ferra

The team microblogging service Twitter announced the abolition of the limit of 140 characters for personal messages (direct messages). Update is now available on all platforms where the service is available: in versions of Twitter for Android and iOS, on the site twitter.com, applications TweetDeck and Twitter for Mac.
