Media: Roskomnadzor will be entitled to a sudden check your mail and social networks – RIA Novosti

MOSCOW, August 17 – RIA Novosti. The Federal Service for Supervision of Communications, Information Technology and Mass Communications (Roskomnadzor) will be able to carry out unannounced inspections of Internet companies, registered as organizers dissemination of information, the newspaper “Izvestia” .

The Office will be able to verify the information in the postal services, social networks, instant messengers. On the New Rights Roskomnadzor said in the draft Administrative regulation of Roskomnadzor functions of control over the activities of the organizers of the dissemination of information on the Internet, the newspaper writes.

Roskomnadzor will have to inform about the upcoming inspection within 24 hours, but in some cases the supervisor will conduct it without prevention. Stipulated time checks – no more than 30 days, but if necessary it can be extended for another 20 days, the article says.

In a special register of the organizers of the dissemination of information made by companies such as “VKontakte” services “Yandex”, Mail.Ru Group. American online services Facebook, Gmail and Twitter Roskomnadzor “gives notice of the need to register in Russia as organizers of information. But these companies have not registered,” the newspaper writes, citing Deputy Roskomnadzor Maxim Ksenzova.
