NASA announced the composition of future missions to the ISS – NIA-Krasnoyarsk

mks National Office for Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) and its partners in the International Space Station announced the composition of the 51 th and 52 th of expeditions planned for 2017.

  
 

As part of the 51th expedition will run Russian cosmonauts Oleg Novitsky, Alexander Misurkin, Nikolai Tikhonov, NASA astronaut Peggy Whitson and astronaut of the European Space Agency (ESA), Thomas Pesce.


 

The 52nd expedition will be formed from the Russians Misurkin, Tikhonov Fedor Yurchikina, NASA astronauts Mark Vande Hei and Jack Fisher, as well as ESA astronaut Paolo Nespoli, reports Lenta.ru.


 

Note the ISS – a joint international project, which involves 15 countries: Belgium, Brazil, Denmark, Germany, Spain, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Russia, USA, France, Switzerland, Sweden, Japan.


 

Management of the ISS performed: Russian segment – from the Mission Control Centre in Korolev, the US segment – from the Mission Control Center Lyndon Johnson in Houston. Management of laboratory modules – European “Columbus” and the Japanese “Kibo” – the control center of the control of the European Space Agency (Oberpfaffenhofen, Germany) and the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (Tsukuba, Japan).
