In connection with World Health Day, which is celebrated today, scientists are talking about achievements in the field of medicine. Russian scientists have achieved great results and equaled the level of the United States with doctors.
First of all, it is worth noting the establishment of Russian scientists the world’s first vaccine trial, struggling with the famous African Ebola virus. America in this matter as much work and its vaccine is also tested pilot tests.
When it comes to the treatment of cancer, then our medicine is a little behind the European and American. Scientists sadly admit that this lag is about 20 years. But, nevertheless, our scientists are actively trying to improve and achieve new results in the studies undertaken.
So, Veronika Skvortsova, Minister of Health of the Russian Federation, spoke about attempts by Russian scientists to use stem cells to treat various diseases. In the coming years, they want to use for the treatment of cancers. These treatments allow to cure cancer without harming the whole body, as is the case with chemotherapy. Stem cells having the receptors are administered together with the drug in the place of the body where cancer cells are formed. Thus the diseased cells are destroyed and healthy at the same time do not suffer.
Scientists, doctors would take for the implementation of this technique actively, but they exist some doubts. They concern the possible entry into force of the law “On Circulation of cell products.” If it will, then any use of stem cells will be banned and they are not able to help physicians in the treatment of cancer or other diseases.
