the experiment involved 437 Beagle, grown under supervision in special circumstances. Dogs, in turn, went to the room where they were offered three containers with food. One of them was locked and to open it was only by the experimenter, who was in the same room. Animals were given three minutes to get to the food. In most cases dogs with a questioning look staring at the man and started to jump on him. And only a few decided to handle it themselves.
after Analyzing what they saw, the scientists selected the 95 dogs with a high level of social interaction and the same low. Samples of DNA they identified the specific genetic sequence for each group.
it Turned out that animals are configured to communicate with a person having at least five genes associated with such behavior. Four of them are similar to human genes, disturbances in which can lead to autism and other social disorders.
the Genetic contribution to the friendship of dogs with human scientists have estimated about 30 %. Otherwise, the alleged descendants of the wild animals owe their interpersonal skills education and, perhaps, hundreds of unexplored genes.
