Scientists after thorough research came to the conclusion that the treatment of ultra-low doses of various substances used in homeopathy, has no scientific basis.
“Homeopathic methods of diagnosis and treatment should be qualified as pseudoscience” – said the Russian Academy of Sciences, reports RIA “Novosti”.
Experts believe that the principles of homeopathy and theoretical explanations of the mechanisms of its alleged actions are contrary to known chemical, physical and biological laws, and convincing experimental confirmation of its effectiveness do not exist.
RAS are also encouraged not to include homeopathy in a new and updated standards of medical care and specify in the instructions to the drug information about the lack of proven clinical effectiveness, reports TASS.
in addition, pharmacies must withdraw from the joint sale of medicinal and homeopathic preparations and to proceed to the sale of homeopathic medicines at a separate counter with the computation of these drugs in a separate window.
however, it is reported that the Ministry of education will consider the inclusion in the award “For loyalty to science” nominations for achievements in the fight against pseudoscience. Currently, the list of nominations already have the award, which is awarded for the promotion of pseudoscience. Unlike the winners of other nominations that receive 100 thousand rubles, it is awarded a cash prize.
