After the official ceremony the Russian President spoke with the laureates in an informal setting, according to RIA Novosti. With glasses of champagne in the hands of young scientists replied in detail about its work on the practical application of their developments. Young scientists assured the President that they want to continue their scientific activity in Russia.

Four of the presidential prize for young scientists was established in 2008. The size of each of the prizes of 2.5 million rubles. Prizes are awarded for the results of scientific research, making a significant contribution to the development of natural, technical and humanitarian Sciences, as well as for the development of samples of new technics and progressive technologies to provide innovative development of economy and social sphere, strengthening the defense capability of the country.
Dmitry Blau, Elena and Stanislav Losevsky paslawski of NRC “Kurchatov Institute” awarded the prize for studies of the quark-gluon plasma with the use of mega-installations and the establishment of new high-performance computer algebra system.
“Further support the development of mathematics is a necessary condition for the successful development of the technology,” said another winner, leading researcher of the Mathematical Institute named after Steklov of RAS Alexander Gaifullin.
