Sargsyan proposed until 2016 to adopt a strategy CSTO – RIA Novosti

DUSHANBE, September 15 – RIA Novosti. Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan, speaking about the priorities of the country as the next chairman of the Collective Security Treaty Organization, said the need to take in the next year strategy for collective security until 2025.

He noted that the organization has passed the 20-year period of formation.

“This work needs to continue on a systematic basis, with ourselves clearly marked a landmark development in the medium term. For this reason, I suggest as one of the first PRIORITY in the upcoming period to fix the completion of the development strategy of the Collective Security Treaty Organization for the period up to 2025 and its adoption in 2016, “- said Sargsyan at a meeting of the CSTO Council in Dushanbe.

CSTO brings together Russia, Belarus, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan. Collective Rapid Reaction Force (RRF) was established in 2009 and employs 22,000 people. In addition to them in the collective forces of the CSTO Collective consists of rapid reaction forces (CRRF) of the Central Asian region, the collective peacekeeping forces and collective air force and special operations forces.
