Apple was forced to announce his actions after a number of companies in the field of cybersecurity reported the appearance of malware XcodeGhost, built into hundreds of legitimate applications.
Reuters news agency notes that the hackers managed for the first time so widespread viral code in the application, avoiding a strict protection system. At the moment, the Chinese company Qihoo360 Technology Co discovered 344 infected application. How much has already been deleted from the App Store – is unknown. Prior to that reported only five cases of infected programs.
According to Apple, hackers have introduced a virus disguised as the name of the official tool XSode used by developers to create applications that allow you to automatically implement to create a program once code.
According to the agency, among the infected applications have been mobile chat WeChat, the application of Taxi Didi Kuaidi and music application from the Internet portal NetEase Inc.
The company has not said what action to take users of the iPhone and iPad, in order to determine infected if their device as a result of cyber attacks.
