The Ministry of Communications has determined the amount of fines for the organizers of public Wi-Fi-networks evading registration of users. This was reported in the department.

According to “Interfax”, it is a fine of 5-50 thousand for the SP and 100-200 thousand – for legal entities. Repeated violation will increase the amount to 10-100 thousand individual entrepreneurs and 200-300 thousand – for legal persons.

It is expected that the adoption of the document will come into force in early 2016.

The development of the bill began in May. If the Internet service provider that ignores the requirements for identification of users and equipment can be punished according to the law “On communication”, the leverage on those who create wireless networks for public access, it was not simple.

The government has obliged operators Communication and organizers of public Wi-Fi networks to identify the users identity document, in July 2014. A month later, there was resolution of refined: it possible to identify the subscribers of the mobile phone number or an account on the portal of public services.
