Rocket ship with the first series of “MS Union” was set to “Gagarin’s Start” – RIA Novosti

BAIKONUR (Kazakhstan), July 4th – RIA Novosti carrier rocket “Soyuz-FG” with the first manned spacecraft of the new series “MS Union” is set on the first, “Gagarin” launch pad at the Baikonur cosmodrome, the correspondent. RIA Novosti.

Previously held removal of the carrier rocket with the docked ship from the assembly and testing Facility (MIC). The MIK assembly was carried out emergency rescue system of astronauts, and docking with the third stage of the rocket ship “MS Union” under the nose fairing. After this third stage with the head part it has been docked to the so-called “package” of the first and second stages of the rocket. Launch of “MS of the Union” is scheduled for July 7 at 04.36 MSK, docking with the ISS – July 9 at 07.12 MSK.

Previously, it was found that at a station there microbiological contamination, and colonies of fungi and bacteria, leading to degradation of the polymer coating. The aim of “biopolymer” experiment is to develop a structure of polymers, which could reduce the process of microbiological corrosion.

Also, experiments will be carried out: “Algometriya”, whose purpose – the study of human pain sensitivity in space flight conditions; “Control” – monitoring of the state’s own outer atmosphere and outer working surfaces of the ISS. In the Russian segment will be held and technical experiment “response”, which is aimed at obtaining information about the impacts of micrometeorites size of 0.1-1 mm.
