Do not wait for the cat’s friendship: Scientists have explained why cats love solitude – REGNUM

London, 4 September 2015, 09:34 – REGNUM British scientists from the University of Lincoln Alice Potter and Daniel Mills confirmed widespread opinion that cats prefer independence, reports Phys.org.

The study was conducted on 20 cats breed Felis silvestris catus (domestic cat). Reason thrust cats independence, scientists believe, is that the person does not have a source of security, unlike dogs.

The basis of the study take the test “strange situation”, proposed in the 1970s, psychologist Mary Ainsworth to explore the affection of children from one year to one and a half months to their mothers. The test is adapted for use on animals.
