The European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN) took as a basis the long-term accelerator, developed by experts of the Novosibirsk Institute of Nuclear Physics (INP), to build the collider, which will be at least three times the current incumbent of the Large Hadron. This was announced by Deputy Director of the Institute of Nuclear Physics for Research Yevgeny Levichev.

«This is a very ambitious project – if the Large Hadron Collider (LHC), the perimeter is 30 kilometers away, the next colliders will have a circle of 100 kilometers. Such a large installation in the Earth’s history has not been, “- said Levichev.

As it is known, Russian specialists of INP actively participated in the creation of the LHC. And now involved in the work on the new accelerator FCC (circular collider of the future). Proposed experts INP project was deemed colleagues from CERN, the most promising and taken as a basis.

«We have a project of your own installation. It utilizes an innovative method of meeting the particle beams. He does not even have Russian names, but the fact that it can improve the performance of the collider is about 100 times as compared to traditional. We thoroughly this effect is studied, and got the idea to apply it to such a great car, “- said Levichev.

As the scientist has explained, the concept of the new collider provides for the creation of a complex accelerator rings, which will help in the study of the properties of the Higgs boson. In the future collider can be used for experiments in the unreachable fields of particle physics today. And while the concept of the project is under construction, which should be completed in 2018. Then would determine the feasibility of building a new plant and all its characteristics.

In the meantime, the LHC is the largest research facility in the creation of which was attended by specialists about a hundred countries.

Recall that the LHC possible to discover the Higgs boson, which, presumably, is the last link in the Standard Model. The authors of the opening were Belgian scientist François Englert and British professor Peter Higgs, for iego received the Nobel Prize for physics.

It is also worth to remember the concept of the Standard Model. Under this concept lies the theory of the structure and interactions of elementary particles, the underlying physics of the relevant section. According to her, the process of formation of any substance can be described as the interaction of a set of elementary particles – the six leptons and six quarks twelve corresponding antiparticles. These particles were found experimentally. However, recent studies have shown that the Standard Model does not describe all physical processes. As a result, today, scientists around the world are looking for new developments that are beyond the scope of this model.
