Scientists have caught strange signals from a planet in the constellation Libra – Tengri News

Astrophysics at the University of Queen Mary (London) and the University of Hertfordshire recorded signals from the planet Gliese 581d, which is located outside the solar system in the constellation of Libra at a distance of 22 light years from Earth, according Inquisitr.com.

A few years ago, astronomers have suggested that Gliese 581d is a planet with a predominantly mountainous terrain and livable conditions. The mass of a celestial body about 6-8 times the mass of our planet, it is twice the size of Earth. Computer simulations showed that the surface of a distant planet can exist water oceans, and atmosphere – clouds and precipitation.

Strange signals from the planet Gliese 581d were first obtained in 2010. However, researchers from the University of Pennsylvania (USA) last year said that these signals are only “a play of light and magnetic radiation”, and the planet itself does not exist. They stated that the observed effects were actually artifacts of stellar activity.

A new study by British scientists said that the previous results were based on American colleagues “inadequate analysis of the data.” Experts from Albion came to the conclusion that Gliese 581d still there. And the signals from the planet are cyclical and repeat every few months.

Scientists have not ruled out that the unusual signals are sent to Earth the mysterious inhabitants of exoplanets. In the near future, scientists hope to decipher these messages.
