Large Hadron Collider again began its work – Ghhauto: Russian top stories

25.03.2015 22:39

2 years after stopping, scientists from the European Organization for Nuclear Research started again the Large Hadron Collider. They intend to continue their studies. The next step is the study of dark matter, which scientists closer to unraveling the origin of the universe.

Large Hadron Collider – a particle accelerator with colliding beams, designed to accelerate protons and heavy ions, and to study their products collisions. The Large Hadron Collider is located at a depth of 100 meters below the territories of France and Switzerland. The device is designed in the form of a closed ring in the pipe, the length of which is 30 kilometers away.

At the end of the experiments in 2012, the Large Hadron Collider was stopped. In that year, scientists closer to answers to questions about the origin of the universe closely. They found “Higgs boson” – an elementary particle that has gravity and zero spin. Many scientists from around the world called this event “the opening of God.” And now, two years after the suspension of experiments, the Large Hadron Collider alive again.

Scientists have identified huge plans for this year. They are going to “dig” to the bottom of the formation of black cloth. These findings should be even closer scientists to realize the origin of the universe. To do this, scientists need to conduct experiments on the collision of two protons at the speed of light. Scientists plan to study the behavior of dark matter and study the nature of its origin. The first study is scheduled for May this year. Until that time, engineers will be testing and commissioning of the collider.
